About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Community-Engaged Sustainability Research Manager to join our team at the Center for Sustainable Communities Research and Education (SCoRE). This is a 12-month, non-tenure track Research Faculty position that will play a critical role in supporting our research mission as it relates to the just, equitable, and sustainable development of communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage partnership and training projects and programs that connect our center and Georgia Tech faculty, staff, and students with community-engaged sustainability and clean energy initiatives in the Greater Atlanta region and across the U.S. Southeast.
  • Jointly manage or support management of SCoRE's major grant-funded community benefits projects.
  • Manage our multi-stakeholder SDG education network, RCE Greater Atlanta, affiliated with United Nations University.
  • Identify, co-manage, and contribute to efforts to obtain grants and other types of financial support for SCoRE's community-engaged sustainability research, education, and community benefit projects and programs.
Requirements

This position vacancy is an open title and open rank announcement. Final job offer will be dependent on candidate qualifications in alignment with Research Faculty ranks as outlined in section 3.2.1 of the Georgia Tech Faculty Handbook.

We seek a creative team member committed to collaborative learning and engagement who will bring joy and excitement to the work of connecting universities with communities to effect social and environmental change.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing and leading or supporting university-community partnerships. A successful track record contributing to obtaining and managing (preferably large) grants.
