We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at Hollywood Casino at Toledo. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with guests and co-workers in a helpful, positive, and professional manner
  • Set up, stock, and service assigned areas, including tables, counters, and beverage stations
  • Remove dirty dishes, glassware, and soiled linens from tables and countertops, and transport to the dish area
  • Monitor and replenish stock items in assigned areas in a neat, accurate, and timely fashion
  • Refill water glasses, coffee cups, butter/condiments, bread, and carry orders to tables as needed
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, including tables, counters, and floors
  • Partner with the culinary team and other servers to ensure coordinated work flow during shifts
  • Meet or exceed all state and company sanitation requirements (ServSafe)
  • Adhere to regulatory, safety, and departmental policies
  • Support safety and accident prevention programs
  • Present yourself as a credit to the company and encourage others to do the same

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience serving in a fine dining establishment
  • Knowledge of food and wine
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills, fluent and literate in English
  • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations
  • Able to stand and walk for entire shifts
  • Must be able to lift trays of food above shoulder level for a distance of up to 50 yards
  • Tolerate areas of cold and high temperature in excess of 115 degrees
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing high noise levels and bright lights
  • Successful or better performance against Performance Appraisal Standards
  • Teamwork ability to work collaboratively within the outlet for effective day-to-day operations
  • Compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirements
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment
  • Knowledge of and compliance with department, property, and company policies and procedures
