Job Summary

The University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks a highly skilled and experienced Global Programs Manager to join its Global Programs team. This team is responsible for managing a portfolio of study abroad and global engagement programs designed for business students. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that serves graduate and undergraduate students, providing them with opportunities to engage with the global community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, logistics, and coordination of pre-departure orientation sessions and other workshops for study abroad participants and incoming exchange students.
  • Enrollment Management Duties:
  • Liaise with departments on various academic and administrative services relating to course approval and enrollment processes.
  • Work with Global Programs team members, students, and academic departments to process course equivalency requests. Monitor and process course approval requests submitted by students in the course equivalency database.
  • Communicate with students throughout their study abroad process (predeparture, while abroad, and upon return) regarding relevant academic policies, student questions and/or concerns. Review study abroad applications for WSB global programs and manage the application process for assigned programs.
  • Oversee ongoing evaluation of the application and admission process, solicit feedback from a variety of sources including students, staff, and faculty, and utilize information to improve future processes.
  • Post grades of students participating in WSB Programs, creating grade reports from foreign institution grade data, obtaining student approval and working with the Registrar.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum two years of administrative experience in an international education or student services office.
  • Experience studying, living, or working in Spain and/or Spanish-speaking location.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous work with faculty and/or academic advisors.
  • Experience with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with developing and managing short-term instructor-led study abroad programs.
