Position Title:

  • Nuclear Medicine Technician (Per Diem)

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient interviews, gather medical histories, confirm consent forms, and provide patient education while efficiently operating radiographic equipment.
  • Set up, oversee, and interpret 12-lead EKG stress tests.
  • Evaluate patient vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, and establish Peripheral Intravenous (IV) access.
  • Prepare and administer pharmacological stress agents, ensuring precise dosage calculations in accordance with established safety protocols.
  • Implement ACLS protocols for patients as directed by the supervising physician.
  • Review and analyze Nuclear Medicine images, ensuring accuracy and effective communication with physicians regarding test results.
  • Stay informed about and adhere to best practices and updated compliance and safety regulations within a nuclear medicine context.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in emergency care or cardiology settings.
  • California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist credentials.
  • Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology (JRCERT) accreditation.
  • American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT.N) certification.
  • Experience with Positron Emission Tomography (PET).
  • Computed Tomography (ARRT. CT) certification.
  • Radiation Safety certification (NMTCB, RS).

Work Schedule:

  • 1 day per week
