Position Details
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Per Diem
Required Qualifications
- California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient interviews, gather medical histories, and ensure patient consent documentation is complete. Proficiently operate radiographic equipment.
- Monitor patient vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, and establish Peripheral Intravenous (IV) access.
- Prepare and administer pharmacological stress agents, ensuring accurate dosage calculations and adherence to safety protocols.
- Implement ACLS measures as directed by the supervising physician.
- Review and analyze Nuclear Medicine images, ensuring precision and effective communication with physicians regarding test results.
- Stay informed about best practices and compliance regulations in a cardiology setting involving nuclear technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years of experience in emergency care or cardiac environments.
- Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology (JRCERT) accreditation.
- American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT.N) certification.
- Experience with Positron Emission Tomography (PET).
- Computed Tomography (ARRT. CT) certification.
- Radiation Safety certification (NMTCB, RS).
