Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team at Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of South Central Wisconsin. As a key member of our reconstruction team, you will be responsible for leading a team of carpenters and ensuring the successful completion of various restoration projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in supervising internal employees and external trades. You will be proficient in office and field operations, with the ability to lead, mentor, and engage in continuous improvement. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with customers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of carpenters to ensure the successful completion of restoration projects
  • Supervising internal employees and external trades
  • Ensuring strict compliance with job site inspections, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Upholding job site cleanliness, professional appearance, expert workmanship, and effective communication among all parties
  • Monitoring project budgets, controlling costs, and providing regular financial updates
  • Identifying and reporting potential cost overruns or scope changes
  • Receiving progress payments throughout the restoration project

Requirements include:

  • Proficiency in office and field operations
  • Previous experience in supervising internal employees and external trades
  • Competence in the safe and correct use of hand and power tools
  • Adaptability to various software tools for schedule management, budget tracking, and material ordering
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and engage in continuous improvement
