We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our Reconstruction team at Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of South Central Wisconsin. As a Lead Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in leading our team of skilled craftsmen and women in delivering exceptional restoration services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of carpenters and other construction professionals to ensure timely and high-quality completion of restoration projects.
  • Perform advanced carpentry tasks, including site preparation, framing, flooring, roofing, siding, cabinetry, and trim work.
  • Collaborate with project managers and customers to comprehend project objectives, requirements, and timelines.
  • Assist in developing detailed project plans, including materials, labor estimates, and schedules.
  • Estimate and approve change orders (up to $500).
  • Supervise and lead a team of subcontractors, material vendors, in-house construction specialists, and technicians.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to team members.
  • Ensure strict compliance with job site inspections, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Uphold job site cleanliness, professional appearance, expert workmanship, and effective communication among all parties.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in office and field operations.
  • Previous experience in supervising internal employees and external trades.
  • Competence in the safe and correct use of hand and power tools.
  • Adaptability to various software tools for schedule management, budget tracking, and material ordering.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and engage in continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong risk management and documentation abilities.
