Job Title: Lead Carpenter

At Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of South-Central Wisconsin, we are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our Reconstruction team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing carpentry projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced carpentry tasks, including site preparation, framing, flooring, roofing, siding, cabinetry, and trim work.
  • Repair or replace damaged structural components.
  • Maintain consistently high-quality craftsmanship throughout the restoration process.
  • Collaborate with project managers and customers to comprehend project objectives, requirements, and timelines.
  • Estimate and approve change orders (up to $500).
  • Supervise and lead a team of subcontractors, material vendors, in-house construction specialists, and technicians.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to team members.
  • Ensure strict compliance with job site inspections, safety regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in office and field operations.
  • Previous experience in supervising internal employees and external trades.
  • Competence in the safe and correct use of hand and power tools.
  • Adaptability to various software tools for schedule management, budget tracking, and material ordering.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and engage in continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong risk management and documentation abilities.
