Lorien is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our end-users, ensuring a seamless procurement process, and building strong relationships with our preferred vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Process Expertise
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our procure-to-pay process, including the P2P system (SMART by GEP), to provide expert-level support to end-users.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- End-User Support
- Provide high-quality support to end-users, helping them navigate the procurement process and utilize the P2P system.
- Troubleshoot access and order issues, as well as resolve catalog access issues.
- Vendor Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our preferred vendors to ensure efficient invoice reconciliation processes.
- Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve quantity-related invoice exceptions.
- Business Improvement
- Assist in pricing and catalog management continuous business improvement activities to enhance quality controls.
- Identify areas of end-user risk and engage management early to address performance issues.
- Process Improvement
- Actively participate in process improvements throughout the P2P and other procurement processes.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience
- At least 1-3 years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing, and/or supply chain management.
- Skills
- Solid understanding of a best-in-class procure-to-pay process.
- Strong knowledge of P2P and/or ERP systems, with experience in GEP SMART and Oracle a plus.
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills, with proficiency in MS Word.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to follow up with others on the team and across the business/operations.
