Job Summary: Community Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive speech and language services to students, collaborating with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans, and providing support to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and screen students to assess their speech and language abilities and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to address students' communication goals.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group services to students, as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support students' communication needs in the classroom.
  • Consult with teachers to provide guidance on how to support students' communication needs in the classroom.
  • Work with the team to create educational plans for annual reviews and provide input for students who are involved in three-year re-evaluations.
  • Maintain logs and ongoing assessments to evaluate student progress.
  • Maintain a daily schedule of activities, write progress reports, maintain clinical notes, and establish annual goals for students through their IEP, 504 Plan, or regular educational plan.
  • Attend parent conferences and IEP, 504, or regular education meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Speech Pathologist License.
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate skills in collaborative planning and problem-solving.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and experience with the implementation of developmentally appropriate strategies.
