Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse (Ambulatory) plays a vital role in providing patient-centered care across the continuum. This role requires a skilled nurse to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with the interprofessional team to deliver high-quality care. Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process and evidence-based practice to assess patient needs and develop care plans.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team to provide comprehensive care and achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in the provision of care in the assigned clinical specialty.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient care, streamline processes, and reduce costs.
  • Contribute to a professional environment that encourages mentoring, engagement, and development.
  • Provide consultation and maintain positive relationships with physicians and other interprofessional team members.
  • Anticipate and proactively manage risk to prevent crises.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or commitment to obtain within five years.
  • Current Wisconsin RN Licensure.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work Environment

  • Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments.
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
  • Occasional high noise level in work environment.
  • Standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
  • Transporting, transferring, positioning patients and/or equipment from one location to another.
Schedule

This role requires a variable schedule, Monday through Friday, with hours between 7:00am and 7:00pm. The scheduled weekly hours are 40, and the scheduled FTE is 1. The location is ThedaCare Physicians - Berlin, Berlin, Wisconsin. Overtime is exempt.
