Job Summary:

Direct Supply, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Associate Demand Planner to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain Optimization team, you will be responsible for optimizing inventory and maximizing supply efficiency to support our Strategic Inventory Optimization Process (SIOP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain accurate demand forecasts for select product categories, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.
  • Monitor and analyze forecast accuracy metrics at the category and location level, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate and communicate significant customer demand changes to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
  • Recommend order replenishment quantities and coordinate purchase order placement for select product categories to maintain target inventory levels.
  • Improve visibility to incoming supply and streamline inventory plans to minimize stockouts and overstock risks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve stockout and overstock issues, developing effective solutions to mitigate risks and maximize profitability.
  • Support reporting needs, toolset innovation, and process automation within existing SIOP processes.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics, Data Science, and Engineering teams on process automation projects to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Provide internal customer support on inventory availability and maintain accurate inventory and cost-related audit documentation with key suppliers and distribution partners.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation for the Demand & Inventory Management Team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Operations.
  • 2+ years of experience in an analytical role in business, sales, marketing, or supply chain function.
  • Experience in forecasting and inventory management practices is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for business purposes.
