Your Contributions:

This role entails delivering financial business support to our Turnkey Operations team, encompassing finance and accounting assistance for invoicing, inventory oversight, related transactions, and reconciliations within our ERP system, along with associated financial analysis.

Key project prioritization and direction will be provided by the Operational Finance Manager, the Director of Accounting & External Reporting, and the Director – Turnkey Operations.

This is an individual contributor role (i.e., no direct reports) focused on projects that will regularly engage with cross-functional leadership to support and facilitate business decision-making aimed at achieving positive financial outcomes. Flexibility in priorities and location will be essential based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Senior Analyst – Turnkey Finance encompass, but are not limited to, the following activities:

1. Assist project managers with monthly project tasks, including:
- Timely invoicing for each turnkey project, covering product, installation, and ancillary invoicing amounts.
- Recording relevant transactions associated with each turnkey project.
- Conducting monthly inventory reconciliations and supporting quarterly physical inventory counts for each warehouse.
- Assisting with invoice collections and clarifying invoiced amounts to customers as necessary.
- Collaborating with the broader accounting team to ensure appropriate adjustments and journal entries are recorded for each turnkey project.

2. Provide a monthly revenue forecast to be recognized/billed to customers, supporting the global financial projections conducted by the FP&A team.

3. Support turnkey projects from bid/RFP response through project completion and final closure.

This includes:
- The duties mentioned above.
- Collaborating with cost accounting to establish inventory part numbers and appropriate costing.
- Reviewing quote entries in the ERP system.
- Summarizing third-party installer information to determine monthly invoicing.
- Managing customer credits as necessary.
- Reviewing proposed contracts for unusual elements outside typical product shipment, installation services, and associated revenue.
- Assisting with and leading the implementation of finance/accounting-related improvements stemming from recent Turnkey Kaizen Events. Updating and revising processes in the future to align with business needs and proper accounting activities.
- Utilizing existing data and data made available through continuous improvement efforts to develop metrics and financial analytic tools to support informed decision-making within the Turnkey Operations team.

This includes:
- Identifying baseline (current state) and required (future state) metrics to facilitate informed decision-making and communication.
- Partnering with finance/accounting, Turnkey Operations, and other cross-functional teams to identify and develop financial performance metrics.

- Employing Badger Meter-defined software to create high-quality reports/models for finance/accounting and Turnkey Operations teams, aiming to automate and streamline business processes.

- Utilizing financial analysis tools and techniques to generate predictive forecasts for finance/accounting and Turnkey Operations teams.

- Leveraging financial analysis tools to identify new business process improvement and optimization opportunities.
- Providing project-specific trend analysis across the Turnkey project portfolio.
- Undertaking other projects/duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

- Several years of progressive accounting/finance experience in roles such as financial planning and analysis, controlling, cost accounting, customer profitability, and other finance special projects.

Required Competencies:
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with management, functional leaders, peers, and internal customers.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel and work remotely based on business circumstances, project needs, and/or staffing requirements.
- The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player with outstanding interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive in managing workload and personal professional development—demonstrating a strong work ethic.
