Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct thorough medication reviews, identify potential interactions, and provide recommendations for alternative medications or dosages.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and disease state management.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve patient issues, answer questions, and provide education on medication usage and health management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including pharmacy operations, patient satisfaction, and employee engagement.
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards, including controlled substance laws and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local medical communities, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
- Participate in community outreach activities to promote the pharmacy business, enhance growth opportunities, and provide more joyful lives through better health.
Requirements:
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
- Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
- Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance.
