PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all on-site production activities to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Assist the Foreman in project planning, material procurement, and workforce allocation.
  • Set project objectives and track progress towards achieving these goals throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate labor efficiency and forecast labor requirements for the project's duration.
  • Meet company productivity targets by effectively delegating tasks to team members while maintaining accurate labor logs and facilitating communication with key project stakeholders.
  • Monitor material expenses and ensure proper storage practices are followed.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Foreman.
  • Adopt a proactive stance to identify and mitigate potential challenges.
  • Ensure that all necessary safety equipment, materials, and tools are available on-site for the execution of work.
  • Engage in effective communication with a diverse range of individuals, including project owners, architects, management, and crew members.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities as directed by the Superintendent.
  • Conduct safety audits and implement the company's safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all completed work, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably as a General Foreman Carpenter or similar position.
  • Possession of a valid Journeyman Carpenter license/certificate (if mandated by local regulations).
  • Exhibit strong hand-eye coordination, mathematical aptitude, physical strength, endurance, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in essential computer applications, including but not limited to Excel, Word, Bluebeam, and BIM 360 Field.
  • Ability to lift or pull up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and operate lifts or other equipment.
  • Capability to maintain a standing position for extended periods, perform squats, bends, or kneels while wearing a tool belt.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.

  • Adhere to all OSHA and MD Builders safety regulations and practices.
  • Support activities at all MD Builders job sites as directed.

Compensation is determined based on market data and the candidate's relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and education.

The base salary range for this role is as follows:

$38.00 per hour.
