Position Overview

Technical Source is on the lookout for a Calibration and Instrumentation Expert to join a dynamic team within a leading pharmaceutical organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calibrations for pressure, temperature, humidity, and flow on existing equipment, as well as manage the onboarding of new instruments.
  • Oversee the calibration and maintenance of various laboratory and manufacturing equipment, including centrifuges, bioreactors, and autoclaves.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation issues from both electrical and mechanical perspectives.
  • Utilize ProCal CMMS for current operations, with potential future transitions to RAM or Hexagon CMMS.

Role Expectations:

The Calibration and Instrumentation Expert will be responsible for delivering metrology and instrumentation expertise for both laboratory and manufacturing equipment across the organization. While the primary focus will be on instrument calibration and equipment control support, collaboration with the maintenance team may also be required. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of GMP equipment instrumentation and controls, a readiness to assist with general maintenance tasks, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, or equivalent military training.
  • A minimum of 3-7 years of relevant experience in Metrology, Instrumentation, or Calibration is essential.
  • Experience with Quality Systems in a pharmaceutical setting is required.
  • Certification in Instrumentation Technical Training (ISA-CCST) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Training in electrical safety (NFPA-70E) is advantageous.
