Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. as a Staff Pharmacist. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring the highest quality of care for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence to the Kinney Standard of Practice for the provision of health care services.
  • Dispense prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Perform quality assurance steps to ensure accurate prescriptions and report dispensing incidents in a timely manner.
  • Manage and balance pharmacy inventory to meet customer needs while maintaining maximum turns.
  • Oversee the transmission, processing, and receiving of orders from the Kinney Warehouse and additional suppliers.
  • Maintain prescription files and other manual records in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure the effective use of pharmacy technology to achieve department and corporate goals.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure all employees exhibit the same level of service.
  • Assist in the implementation of corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising, and promotional programs.
  • Maintain a clean and professional environment in the pharmacy department.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with doctors and other health service professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in the pharmacy and health care services fields and integrate them into your practice.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
  • Facilitate communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
  • Assist in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within those guidelines.
  • Train and develop pharmacy department personnel, including the use of the Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program.
  • Interface with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
  • Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
Qualifications
  • BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.
  • Valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
  • Ability to stand/walk throughout the majority of the shift.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test.
  • Certified Immunizer.

  • Required training in HIPPA Privacy, HIPPA Security, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse, and MethGuard.
