We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team at Focused HR Solutions. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for interfacing with various offices and divisions to review requirements, lead Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, schedule meetings, prepare test plans, and create system requirement documents for use by system analysts to produce detailed design documents for specific projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Capture and Analyze Requirements: Work with business stakeholders to capture detailed requirements for various stages of an application life cycle.
- Verify System Requirements: Ensure that system requirements are traceable, consistent, complete, and testable.
- Document Business Requirements: Write and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), and Traceability Matrices.
- Facilitate User Requirements Sessions: Conduct Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to gather and document user requirements.
- Support Testing and Quality Assurance: Verify that software applications perform in accordance with system requirements and specifications.
- Communicate Test Results: Clearly and accurately communicate test results to programming staff and/or appropriate management staff.
- Document Application Performance: Accurately and thoroughly document application performance failures and defects during each quality review session.
- Provide Reports and Updates: Regularly enter issues/defects related to the test life cycle or change control environment into the applicant tracking system and update applicable tracking systems with problem solutions and status.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with a strong background in requirements gathering, business process mapping, and testing methodology.
- Skills: Excellent analytical skills, strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment.
- Desired Skills: Previous experience working in state government, experience with various project life cycles and methodologies, and experience executing project life cycles from end to end.
