Medical Assistant Professional

As a Medical Assistant at Akeso Occupational Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative tasks.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, taking vital signs and recording patient histories.
- Perform specimen collection and simple laboratory testing, under the supervision of a physician or laboratory director.
- Maintain patient files, records, and other information, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Assist with scheduling tests and treatments, and order clinical and office supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians, using excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated efforts and high-quality patient care.
- Perform related clerical duties, such as filing and scheduling patients, as required.
- Knowledge of medical practice and organizational policies to administer patient care.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, and communicate clearly with patients and staff.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English, with bilingual skills in Spanish preferred.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent people skills and ability to work well with others.
