Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant at Pediatrix Medical Group, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the efficient operation of our clinics. Your responsibilities will include taking medical histories, capturing and documenting patient vital signs, requesting and updating patient medical records, and communicating with patients and families. You will also assist physicians and advanced practice providers with preparing and conducting medical exams and office procedures, and perform applicable medical procedures such as collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, administering injections/immunizations, and performing venipuncture. Additionally, you will ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, and prepare sterilization as required.
Requirements
* Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required
* MA certification required; if not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months to 1 year dependent on state requirements
* 1+ years' experience in office-based setting preferred
* CPR certification required
* Ability to maintain OSHA standards and HIPAA regulations
* Bilingual English and Spanish speaking is required
