Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled High-Speed Signal Integrity Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, simulating, characterizing, and applying high-speed electrical cable assemblies. They will also develop components, provide customer support, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop next-generation high-speed I/O interconnect products.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Simulation: Design, simulate, and characterize high-speed electrical cable assemblies using advanced simulation tools.
- Component Development: Develop high-speed components and provide customer support for new product introductions.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and pursue continuous improvement in methods and workflows.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop next-generation high-speed I/O interconnect products.
- Customer Support: Provide solutions to customers across various sectors with high-speed data transmission requirements, identifying and resolving signal integrity issues.
- Strategic Development: Support Sales and Applications Engineers to develop strategies for product break-in at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise.
- Production Support: Support global factories for ramping up production, advising on methods and experiments of builds, measurements, establishing test limits.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred.
- Electromagnetic Principles: Understanding of electromagnetic principles for digital signal integrity.
- Simulation Tools: Experience with signal integrity and electromagnetic simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave.
- Measurement Equipment: Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors, and similar measurement equipment.
- Component Design: Experience in component design and application of high-speed cables/connectors into communications equipment.
- Programming Skills: Experience with Matlab, ADS, and HSPICE.
