Key Responsibilities:- Obtain and record patient data, adhering to Joint Commission guidelines and ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for procedures, providing manual assistance as required.
- Assist with specimen collection and labeling, following instructions from RN/PA/MD.
- Participate in teaching activities, reinforcing education instructed by RN and/or physician as needed.
- Restock rooms, check patient vital signs, and clean and package surgical instruments for sterilization.
- Run autoclave and perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
- Participate in own professional development, maintaining required skills validation and attending educational offerings.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is strongly preferred; a High School diploma or GED is required.
- Work experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, with education in a health-related field serving as a substitute for experience.
- Must be fully certified as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA) within 18 months of hire.
