Job Summary:The RN - Hospice Care Specialist will be responsible for providing nursing care to hospice patients, residents, and/or family members in our 12-bed unit located at St. Charles Hospital. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of hospice concepts, philosophy, policies, and procedures, as well as prior experience in home care, hospice, and/or oncology.
Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care to hospice patients, residents, and/or family members in our 12-bed unit
- Manage symptoms and pain control for patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients, residents, and/or family members
- Current and valid NY State license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- One to two years recent general bedside nursing experience with good clinical skills
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
