Accounting Specialist Job Description

At Trek Bicycle, we're looking for a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting team in providing full-charge accounting services across the US and Canada.

Responsibilities:

* Import sales, cost of goods sold, deposits, and inventory movement entries from Ascend or other POS systems into accounting software.
* Manually enter invoices for assigned accounts into accounting software.
* Match and reconcile invoices to receiving activity.
* Perform reconciliations on bank, credit card, and loan accounts to statements each financial period.
* Research nominal discrepancies in receiving or banking activity.
* Code items to GL accounts but verifies accuracy with Accountant as needed.
* Provide support to the accounting team as needed.

Requirements:

* A two-year technical degree or higher or equivalent accounting experience is required.
* Actively seeks training and growth opportunities, both internally and externally.
* Proficient understanding of debits and credits and have a working knowledge of accounting principles.
* Basic understanding of the accounting cycle.
* Keep calm and stay positive in a busy environment.
* Regularly communicate and listen actively with their peers and clients.
