We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at The Animal Foundation. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to animals in our shelter and clinic.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgeries and exams.
- Conduct preoperative examinations and monitor anesthesia.
- Administer medications and perform medical treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Record and maintain accurate medical records and reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective care of animals.
- Equivalent to a degree as a veterinary technician from a college accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association or the appropriate agency in the state where the college is located.
- One (1) year of experience in a veterinary clinic, hospital or animal shelter.
- Valid Nevada Veterinary Technician (VT) license.
The Animal Foundation is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. As a Veterinary Technician, you will be exposed to animals, animal waste, potentially harmful cleaning chemicals, high noise, and potentially hazardous conditions. You must be able to clearly articulate our goals, actively participate in outstanding customer service, and accept responsibility for maintaining our culture of philanthropy.
