Pima Medical Institute is seeking passionate and dedicated veterinarians to join our team as educators for our Veterinary Technician Associate Degree Program.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain DEA license and controlled substances logs, including amount/supply and expiration.
  • Provide medical decisions for patients and examine them for medical necessities.
  • Communicate with rescues on abnormalities and ensure completeness of medical records.
  • Perform medical procedures and attend IACUC meetings.
  • Implement and evaluate daily lesson plans for students, including scheduled activities and materials.
  • Monitor students' attendance and coordinate with the Associate Director of Student Services when absences occur.
  • Review student success rates and implement a plan to reduce student withdrawals.
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of occupational experience within the veterinary field.
  • Licensed doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) or a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT).
  • Verbal and written communication skills, as well as knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer skills.
