Faculty Group Practice Ultrasound Technician Manhattan

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technician to join our team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in Manhattan. As a key member of our Faculty Group Practice, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data.
Key Responsibilities- Operate ultrasound equipment to make quality images and perform studies in required modalities.
- Provide training and guidance to Ultrasound Technology students.
- Review patient requisitions and understand the type of exam required by each requisition, conferring with medical staff as necessary.
- Follow accepted radiologic procedures and use medical information to determine the type of protocol required for radiographic examination.
- Independently implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
- Direct and monitor student clinical training, observing and evaluating their progress.
- Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology education program.
- Registered or registry eligible to take the Registry exam (ARDMS) within 1 year of hire date.
- Cardiovascular Credential Int_CCI and American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certifications.
- Registered as American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
- Registered Vascular Technologist.
