We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Control Specialist to join our team at RoadSafe Traffic Systems. As a key member of our Traffic Control Department, you will be responsible for directing motorists and ensuring the safety of workers, pedestrians, and the general public.
Key Responsibilities- Direct motorists by flagging them away from worker activities, moving equipment, and oncoming traffic.
- Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices to divert traffic and ensure safe working conditions.
- Complete daily paperwork accurately and timely, including reporting any incidents or issues.
- Operate a 2-way radio to communicate with contractors, supervisors, and other team members.
- Work under the supervision of the Project Manager, TCT, or TCS to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, including contractors, workers, and the general public.
- Work efficiently in a team environment and independently when assigned to ensure the smooth operation of our traffic control services.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Hold a current Flagger certification or the ability to pass Company-sponsored Flagger Certification (ATSSA).
- Ability to lead a small crew is preferred.
- Be able to successfully complete a company-sponsored Defensive Driver training.
- Must be able to wear proper safety equipment, including work boots, hard hat, and safety vest.
- Comfortable being regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, moving equipment, and machinery parts, and working around moving traffic, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate/loud noise levels.
- Ability to lift/move more than 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- On-the-job training with full pay.
- Paid weekly.
