Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist to join our team at bioMerieux, Inc. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes, and for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality control testing and inspections on finished products and raw materials
  • Prepare and submit reports for review by the Quality Manager
  • Investigate nonconformances and work with technicians and engineers to diagnose and remedy problems
  • Interpret blueprint requirements and confirm conformance to specifications
  • Lead in the standardization and advancement of inspection methods
  • Train new and existing QC Technicians
  • Transport conforming parts to inventory and complete computer transactions and written records
  • Generate nonconforming material reports and ensure disposition of non-conforming materials meets site and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as biology or a related field
  • 0-2 years of work experience in a Quality Control setting
  • Strong analytical approach to decision making and problem solving
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and to complete projects in a timely fashion
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Familiarity/knowledge of the interpretation and application of relevant Domestic and International Regulations and Industry Standards (ISO, QSR, UL, CSA, VDE, etc.)
Working Conditions

The Quality Control Specialist will work in a laboratory environment, with occasional exposure to cool temperatures and low humidity. The position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods, and to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly most of the day. The ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions is also required.
