Job Title: Access Control Personnel

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Access Control Personnel to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), a Department of Defense entity responsible for research and development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support organization for the Navy's ships, submarines, military watercraft and unmanned vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor and control access to premises to ensure the security and safety of personnel and property
* Screen and authorize entry of employees, visitors, and guests
* Enforce access control procedures and policies
* Handle incoming and outgoing traffic, ensuring proper documentation and identification
* Maintain surveillance through security cameras and alarm systems
* Respond to and resolve security breaches, conflicts, and incidents
* Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries or concerns
* Prepare and maintain accurate reports of daily activities and incidents
* Coordinate with emergency services when required
* Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential security risks

Requirements:

* Secret clearance
* First Aid/CPR certification
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Proven experience in access control or a related field
* Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
* Strong observational and problem-solving skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to handle stressful situations with composure
* Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Desired Qualifications:

* Previous experience in access control or security roles
* Familiarity with surveillance systems and equipment
* Knowledge of emergency response and evacuation procedure
