Coventek Inc is searching for a proficient DevOps Engineer to bolster our innovative software development team dedicated to mission-critical applications. This initiative aims to revamp the UI Tax system by restructuring its components to adhere to top-tier architectural standards and frameworks, thereby improving service delivery to both agency personnel and end-users while setting the stage for future technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical implementation and operationalization of AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Serve as a developer advocate for cloud capabilities, collaborating across various teams to design and implement user-friendly hybrid cloud environments.
  • Architect, develop, and sustain efficient, reusable, and reliable AWS infrastructure utilizing AWS CDK.
  • Oversee and configure AWS services including EC2, EKS, ECR, Cognito, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, among others.
  • Design, construct, and maintain service mesh technologies like Istio within EKS clusters.
  • Develop unit and integration tests to ensure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) coverage.
  • Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines for the automated deployment of infrastructure and applications.
  • Gather telemetry data and create dashboards, alerts, and notifications for comprehensive insights into cloud operations and application performance.
  • Monitor and resolve performance challenges, ensuring high availability and optimal functionality of infrastructure and services.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to enhance application performance and reliability within AWS environments.
  • Implement and uphold security best practices and compliance measures in AWS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.
  • Experience in AWS CDK development.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, etc.
  • Capability to create quick Proofs of Concept (POCs) to showcase cloud functionalities and design user-friendly hybrid cloud environments.
