About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vitamin Department Manager to join our team at Natural Grocers. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for the successful operation and profitability of the vitamin department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide World-Class Customer Service: Ensure that every customer interaction is positive and memorable, providing exceptional service and support to our customers.
  • Manage Department Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the vitamin department, including inventory management, ordering, and merchandising.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Train, direct, and monitor department staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Drive Sales and Profitability: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profitability in the vitamin department, including managing margin, COGs, and overall department profitability.
  • Maintain a Safe and Clean Environment: Ensure that the vitamin department is clean, organized, and well-maintained, meeting company standards for safety and cleanliness.
  • Participate in Store Initiatives: Collaborate with other department managers to achieve store goals and objectives, including participating in cross-training and other initiatives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required
  • 1-2 Years of Retail Experience: Preferred, with experience in a grocery or retail environment, natural foods background a plus.
  • 1-2 Years of Supervisory Experience: Preferred, with experience supervising others.
  • Ability to Pass Food Safety Training: Required, with ability to maintain certifications up to date and registered if applicable.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Required, with ability to work effectively with customers, team members, and management.
  • Ability to Work a Flexible Schedule: Required, with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
