The salary range for Associate Sponsored Projects Officer is $58,000 - $70,000, and the salary range for Sponsored Project Officer is $62,000 - $78,000.

About the Role

As a member of the University of Michigan's Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP), you will play a critical role in safeguarding and advancing the university's research enterprise. You will provide efficient pre-award and non-financial post-award services for the compliant administration of externally sponsored grants, contracts, and ancillary agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide expert guidance on sponsored research and other funded activities
  2. Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex research administration challenges
  3. Collaborate with researchers, faculty, and staff to ensure compliance with university policies and external regulations
  4. Manage and coordinate the pre-award process, including proposal development and submission
  5. Provide training and support to researchers and staff on research administration policies and procedures
