About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team in the Finance-Sponsored Programs office at the University of Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity for business majors interested in not-for-profit and governmental accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post-award accounting of grants and contracts
  • Provide procedure interpretation to university departments
  • Help prepare reports to federal and sponsoring agencies
  • Inactivate sponsored projects to maintain a positive cash position
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 8 accounting courses
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Google suites, and communication applications such as Zoom
Work Schedule and Environment

This is a full-time 40 hour work week position, Monday through Friday. Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
