Spaceflight Mission Control Software Engineer

This role directly supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to Earth's orbit and beyond.
We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team responsible for designing, building, and continuously improving the state-of-the-art mission control software system that allows us to launch and land rockets better, faster, and cheaper.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing mission control software used to test and fly launch vehicles and space vehicles
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and operators to develop tools and workflows supporting advanced spaceflight systems
- Automating and testing everything, making it fast and scalable
- Continuously improving our product, internal tools, and processes
- Integrating commercial, open-source, and custom solutions across our platform
- Continuously innovating on behalf of our customers to meet evolving program requirements
Key qualifications include:
- B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Advanced software development skills, particularly in C++ and Python
- Advanced experience with build, test, and deployment automation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $170,805.00-$239,127.00 per year, depending on location.
