**Position Type:** Full-time; Monday-Friday

**Location:** Tampa, FL

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Provide expert legal counsel on regulatory matters including anti-kickback statutes, Stark Law, HIPAA compliance, and regulations pertaining to tax-exempt organizations.

- Draft and negotiate various contracts related to physician recruitment, employment, retention, and compensation practices.

- Advise on affiliation agreements, professional service agreements, practice acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business relationships.

- Address legal issues related to leases, subpoenas, and garnishments.

- Offer guidance to CEOs, executive management, compliance teams, and medical staff leadership on a broad spectrum of healthcare and legal matters.

**Value You Bring to the Team:**

- Expertise in local, state, and federal regulations.

- In-depth knowledge of Stark Law, Anti-kickback statutes, and other applicable regulations.

- Proficiency in handling provider employment issues and physician practice concerns.

- Experience with professional service agreements and affiliation agreements.

- Strong background in due diligence, HIPAA compliance, peer review processes, and medical staff issues.

- Knowledge of licensing, informed consent, and various lease types.

- Understanding of legal aspects of patient care, including privacy rights and medical records.

- Ability to navigate revenue cycle matters and other healthcare provider requirements.

- Supervise legal support staff, paralegals, and contract managers.

- Adhere to the Rules of Professional Conduct as mandated by the Florida Bar and other relevant state bar associations.

**Qualifications Required for Success:**

- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university.

- 5-15 years of experience in health law practice.

- Experience in a law firm or relevant governmental role.

- Membership in the Florida Bar Association or authorized house counsel in the State of Florida.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Board certification in health law or eligibility for board certification.
