Position Overview

We are currently looking for a full-time, 40-hour Healthcare Customer Service Specialist to provide coverage across various Mass General Brigham locations. This hybrid role will involve a combination of remote and in-office work, tailored to the needs of our facilities. The weekly schedule will be determined based on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operations within our community-based practices.
  • Schedule patient appointments and secure necessary authorizations from insurance providers for specific procedures.
  • Facilitate patient check-in by warmly greeting individuals, addressing inquiries, and assisting with pre-visit documentation.
  • Manage check-out processes, including completing necessary forms, collecting co-payments, and coordinating follow-up appointments or tests.
  • Handle incoming calls and triage inquiries appropriately while monitoring patient flow and activity in the waiting area.
  • Offer general assistance to practice leadership, clinicians, and colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a community-based healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Epic software is advantageous.
