Position Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is a leader in the production of high-performance weapon systems designed for various military applications across land, sea, and air domains.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will engage in a dynamic and collaborative environment, tackling challenges that allow you to showcase your engineering expertise. This role offers a pathway for professional growth and the chance to contribute significantly to the advancement of military armament systems.

Your contributions will directly support the modernization and production of tactical equipment utilized by the U.S. military and its allies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and validate electrical systems, components, and circuits.
  • Utilize engineering principles to create reliable and efficient designs.
  • Conduct rigorous testing to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Research and integrate new technologies to enhance product innovation.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in electrical circuit design and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth knowledge of military standards relevant to tactical equipment.
  • Familiarity with electrical and electronic industry standards, including IEEE and IPC.
  • Proficient in PCB design using CAD tools.
  • Experience with test equipment and scripting languages such as LABVIEW or MATLAB.
  • Ability to address issues related to component obsolescence.
  • Knowledge of EMI/RFI standards and electrical power system design.
  • Strong technical writing skills, including preparation of MIL-STD documentation.
Preferred Education:

Bachelor's Degree in General Engineering or a specialized engineering discipline.

Experience:

A minimum of 7 years in a relevant engineering role.

Additional Information:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Compensation: Pay range is $74,000 to $138,450 annually, with potential eligibility for the Company's Gain Sharing Program.

Benefits include 11 paid holidays, 120 hours of PTO annually, and up to 3 weeks of paid family leave.
