Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team at Power System Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering utility-scale PV solar systems, energy storage, and microgrid projects between 5MW and 100MW in size.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and engineer utility-scale PV solar systems, energy storage, and microgrid projects
* Provide technical expertise and support in assisting utilities in planning for integrating renewable energy resources
* Maintain a vast knowledge of existing and emerging technologies in planning the future grid
* Develop engineering construction documents, detailed equipment specifications, and contribute to developing internal solar engineering standards, toolsets, and work processes
* Coordinate project design assignments and design teams locally and with other office locations
* Travel to project sites occasionally to gather site-specific data, as required

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with Power Systems Focus
* 5 years' experience designing utility-scale solar PV systems and/or energy storage systems
* PE (Professional Engineer) Licensure or the ability to get one within a reasonable time
* Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
* Knowledge and Skills: Experience with AutoCAD, PVsyst, SKM, ETAP, SEL Relays, and industry-standard design codes such as NEC, International Building Codes, International Fire Codes, and other standards relevant to the industry
