POSITION SUMMARY
Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is in search of a skilled Human Resources Specialist with extensive experience in supporting Department of Defense contractors. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to various aspects of the Human Resources department, encompassing talent acquisition, compensation management, benefits coordination, employee relations, and compliance reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the HR Specialist, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting and issuing offer letters, onboarding packages, termination documents, and memos for employee transitions, salary adjustments, and promotions.
- Assisting in the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, long-term and short-term disability, life insurance, retirement plans, and COBRA.
- Ensuring accuracy in data management and reporting, while effectively multitasking and maintaining a thorough understanding of HR policies and practices.
- Preparing and submitting mandatory government reports, such as EEO-1, VETS-4212, AAP, and ACA 1095-C's.
- Overseeing compliance with the Corporate Quality Management Program (ISO9001) and conducting quarterly reviews of HR performance metrics.
- Maintaining and updating personnel records for both corporate and remote locations, managing HR data in relevant systems.
- Generating monthly analytics reports regarding employee demographics, performance evaluations, and recruitment statuses.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be eligible for a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in human resources.
- Proficient in ADP's Workforce Now and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of HR principles, including recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and development.
- Ability to effectively plan, manage, and assess HR programs.
- Exhibit tact and discretion when handling sensitive personnel matters.
- Capability to foster and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possession of PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certifications is advantageous.
