Meat Department Associate

Job Summary
Festival Foods is seeking a skilled Meat Clerk to join our team. As a Meat Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized meat department, and ensuring high-quality products are available for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist guests with finding meat products and answering questions about our offerings
- Receive, prepare, and fulfill guest orders and special requests
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to department phone calls and addressing guest concerns
- Support teammates and contribute to a positive work environment
- Ensure high-quality products are available by inspecting, rotating, and maintaining proper temperatures
- Maintain proper inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Lead by example and follow proper food safety procedures
- Meet quality standards, including quantity expectations
- Regular, timely attendance and adequate notice for occasional absences
Requirements
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and all personnel
- Good oral and written communication skills and ability to handle a diverse crew in a highly stressful environment
- Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
- Ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Stand in one place for a long period, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
- Full range of upper body motion
- Lifting up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures
- Repetitive motion of hands and wrists
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
