As a Culinary Operations Manager, you will oversee the planning, direction, and coordination of production staff to ensure the timely and efficient preparation and delivery of food products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of meal requirements
  • Ensure accurate portioning of food items
  • Manage the ordering and receipt of food and non-food supplies
  • Verify that all items are prepared in the correct quantities for service
  • Monitor staff compliance with daily operational records
  • Verify and submit payroll documentation
  • Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff
  • Collaborate with the lead cook and food service director
  • Conduct weekly inventory assessments
  • Investigate and address any discrepancies in inventory
  • Create daily and weekly production schedules based on the master menu
  • Ensure all tasks on the production schedule are completed
  • Adhere to standardized recipes
  • Work with the food service director on budgeting and accounting
  • Participate in food quality assurance meetings
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
  • Monitor proper labeling of all food items
  • Enforce adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
  • Schedule maintenance for all kitchen equipment
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients
Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or a related field; or A.A. Degree with four years of relevant experience
  • Two to four years of experience in retirement or adult care facilities preferred
  • Four or more years of direct food service management experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment
  • Knowledge of inventory management and purchasing
  • Strong understanding of food and catering trends, focusing on quality and sanitation
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience with profit and loss accountability is highly desirable
  • Experience in contract-managed services is a plus
  • High-volume food production experience is advantageous
  • ServSafe certification is preferred
