Cashier - Front-Line Service Expert

Job Summary:

The Cashier is a key member of the Craft Culinary Concepts team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, handling transactions, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet all guests in a prompt and friendly manner, building rapport to drive future sales.
  • Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit card payments, and provide correct change.
  • Relay information to runners or cooks to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Craft Culinary Concepts and local health department standards.
  • Assist with cleaning and preparing the assigned location for future events.
  • Communicate effectively with management, passing along guest comments and employee suggestions to improve service and drive sales.

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Must have a valid TEAM, TIPS, or TX Title 4 certificate if 18 or older to serve alcohol.
  • Must have a valid County Food Handler Card on file with Craft Culinary Concepts and in possession for each shift worked.
  • Must have knowledge of cash handling, including the ability to total orders and make change without the use of a cash register.
  • Must be able to effectively use a cash register and credit card machines.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, unless currently enrolled.
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms, successfully pass a background check, and math assessment involving all US monetary units.
  • Must be able to work with a group as well as independently.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used by guests who typically visit the work location.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Preferred 2+ years of counter server or equivalent experience in a high-volume restaurant environment or another stadium/arena/venue.
  • Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers, supervisors, and guests.

Other Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours in length.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, tightly quartered environment.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations and around excessive noise.
