Job Summary:

The California Eastern District Court is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time term law clerk role in our Sacramento office. This position involves providing essential support to two U.S. Magistrate Judges, the Honorable Chi Soo Kim and the Honorable Carolyn K. Delaney.

The law clerk will engage in comprehensive research and writing tasks focused on civil litigation and Social Security appeals. Responsibilities include:

  • Thoroughly reviewing legal pleadings.
  • Drafting judicial orders related to cases before both judges.

Work will primarily take place in the Sacramento courthouse, with the possibility of occasional telework subject to the approval of the supervising judges.

The initial appointment term is set for up to two years, with the potential for extension for an additional two years, allowing for a total of four years of service.
