Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our Design and Construction department, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects to ensure they are completed efficiently and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and local building codes, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and hospital staff to facilitate project execution.
  • Perform carpentry, cabinetry, flooring, and other construction tasks as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospital departments to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Verify compliance with fire/smoke wall regulations and ensure proper UL standards are maintained.
  • Interact with housekeeping to ensure final project phases are completed to satisfaction.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or a related field
  • Comprehensive background in building construction and building systems in a commercial setting
  • Good people skills and some supervisory experience preferred
Working Conditions

This position requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. Occupational risk is significant, and physical effort is very heavy, with the ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force. The physical environment is also challenging, with significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
