Job Overview

This role is accountable for overseeing daily operational management tasks for a specialized functional unit that delivers routine programs and services across various departments and agencies. The position involves planning, coordinating, supervising, and managing resources to meet unit objectives effectively.

Salary Range

$46,155 - $85,280

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will provide essential support to the Enterprise Assessment and Oversizing programs. We seek an individual with proven experience in analyzing and resolving billing or invoice discrepancies within an automated billing framework. The ideal candidate should excel in a dynamic environment, demonstrate strong multitasking abilities, and adapt to shifting priorities with minimal oversight. Key responsibilities encompass prioritizing daily system tasks, delegating responsibilities to team members, and ensuring timely completion of daily objectives. The candidate must be proficient in both office and remote work settings. Furthermore, the ideal candidate should have a strong history of developing business process documentation, tracking or establishing key performance indicators, and experience in supervising and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

Oversees the daily operations of the unit, coordinating and managing assigned programs and resources. Establishes direction and priorities, allocating staff and resources to projects and unit initiatives. Provides supervision, guidance, training, and motivation to assigned personnel; assigns, monitors, and reviews work; evaluates performance and initiates corrective actions as necessary. Performs various administrative tasks to support the unit's activities. Implements goals, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure operational efficiency and effective administration. Monitors workflow, data accuracy, and overall quality of work; ensures processes and procedures are executed according to established standards. Assesses staffing requirements and identifies shortfalls; interviews, recruits, and hires new personnel. Participates in budget development by providing detailed justifications and persuasive arguments for proposals or unit initiatives, though has no direct budget approval authority. Coordinates with other branches or sections within the organization and external agencies to ensure efficient communication and service delivery. Provides consultation to clients on matters related to the functional area. Prepares various documents to document activities and manage assigned programs and resources. Performs other related duties as necessary.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, and communicate. Occasionally required to use hands to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Category

Sedentary work - Involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work typically involves sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university; AND Two years of experience directly related to the position's responsibilities; OR An equivalent combination of education (at least a high school diploma/GED), training, and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted above.

Emergency Management Responsibilities

In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department or relevant authorities.
