Diagnostic Sonographer Job Description

Maui Medical Group is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality ultrasound images to aid in the diagnosis of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality images
  • Review patient charts and physician requests to determine optimal scanning parameters
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
  • Maintain equipment and ensure proper operation
  • Discuss test results with radiologists and attending physicians
  • Ensure data transfer to radiologist workstations and facility archive
Requirements:
  • Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
  • Knowledge of imaging equipment and ultrasound physics
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand simple sentences in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:

The Diagnostic Sonographer will work in a fast-paced medical environment, rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
