Rady Children's Physician Management Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual for the role of Patient Financial Services Supervisor. This position is vital in ensuring the efficiency of our accounts receivable operations.
Reporting directly to the Director of Patient Financial Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and assessing the performance of the accounts receivable team. This role involves identifying challenges and developing effective strategies for resolution. The Billing Supervisor will also play a key role in addressing customer service inquiries and concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the productivity and performance of the accounts receivable team.
- Proactively suggest improvements to existing processes and policies to enhance collections and optimize cash flow.
- Ensure accurate billing practices and timely follow-ups.
- Assist incoming callers by addressing inquiries or directing them to the appropriate department.
- Effectively manage challenging patient interactions, providing professional responses to questions and complaints while ensuring resolution.
- Deliver clear, comprehensive, and accurate information to patients regarding procedures and instructions, ensuring their understanding.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality when handling patient information.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three to five years of supervisory experience in a medical billing environment.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable for their performance.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers, staff, physicians, and management.
- Ability to maintain composure in fast-paced and high-pressure situations.
- Experience with EMR systems is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
