Position Overview
This role is pivotal in overseeing all aspects of higher education loan initiatives for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. The incumbent will serve as a knowledgeable authority on the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan program, along with various private and commercial loan options.

Key Responsibilities
The Financial Aid Coordinator will:

  • Assess student loan program eligibility with precision and uphold client service standards.
  • Safeguard the institution against audit discrepancies and related risks.
  • Calculate student loan eligibility in alignment with established financial aid practices.
  • Handle sensitive student information, collaborating with governmental and private financial entities.
  • Effectively communicate intricate financial aid matters both verbally and in writing to staff, student representatives, and borrowers.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • At least one year of relevant business experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in financial aid processes and familiarity with the Banner Student processing system is advantageous. Knowledge of federally mandated reconciliation and the ability to review C-flags for over-loan limits is also preferred.
