Position Overview: NSC Technologies is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Weld Quality Manager. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the assembly and construction of steel and aluminum hull vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess familiarity with the installation of all necessary outfitting components.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret shipyard construction and work package assembly drawings.
  • Understand techniques for the proper alignment of sub-assembly components.
  • Maintain knowledge of acceptable welding practices and preparations, coordinating effectively with various shifts and departments.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, including reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to timely task completion.
  • Communicate effectively and possess proficiency in computer applications.

Additional Duties:

  • Oversee work schedules and enforce company policies.
  • Provide training and development for team members.
  • Ensure adequate manpower levels to meet production schedules and budgetary requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control Department on inspection and quality assurance matters.
  • Coordinate with the Fabrication shop regarding the movement of units and components into assembly stages.
  • Review production schedules in detail, working closely with Planning and Scheduling to ensure delivery timelines are met.
  • Engage with Maintenance and Facilities on relevant operational issues.
  • Implement attendance policies and manage progressive discipline for performance or attendance concerns.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
  • Effectively communicate with various levels of management and across different departments.
